Philanthropy

The Yes Institute is the philanthropy of choice for our chapter. Yes Institute is a local organization based in Miami, Florida and their mission statement is as follows:

To prevent suicide and ensure the healthy development of all youth through powerful communication and education on gender and orientation.

The Yes Institute accomplishes this by providing powerful, action-oriented dialogue and quality research-based education on gender and orientation.

Each year, Yes Institute conducts over 140 community dialogues and courses for a wide variety of communities, parents and students, nurses and medical personnel, school teachers and administrators, as well as many others.

Each semester, Delta Lambda Phi holds philanthropic competitions and events in order to raise funds for the Yes Institute.  The money we raise helps bring people together for authentic communication on gender and orientation that can dissolve conflicts, and produce remarkable shifts in attitudes and consciousness. Their work reunites families, save lives, and restores the vision of a future full of possibilities for young people across the world.  This organization means a lot to the Brothers of Delta Lambda Phi because we or someone we know has had to deal with the problems that Yes intends to fix.
