Starting A Chapter

Boston University Colony
(now Alpha Chi Chapter)

If a Delta Lambda Phi Chapter doesn’t exist near you or if you aren’t eligible to join a nearby Chapter (for instance, due to campus affiliation requirements), it may be possible to start a new Chapter of Delta Lambda Phi!

Starting a new Chapter is a demanding but highly rewarding process. Helping Delta Lambda Phi expand to new campuses provides a unique opportunity to build your own experiences and leave a legacy at your college or university.  Rather than adapt to a Fraternity that does not align with your values, you have the responsibility and advantages to shape the direction of a new Fraternity, and bring positive change to your campus!

It takes an average of two years to progress from the initial “Interest Group” to an officially chartered Chapter of the Fraternity. The work required to move from an Interest Group, to a Colony, and finally a Chapter is not easy, but those Brothers who have founded their own Chapters look back on it as a fulfilling or even life-changing experience.
