Community. Leadership. Brotherhood.

What is Delta Lambda Phi?

Founded in 1986, Delta Lambda Phi (DLP) is the nation’s largest fraternity for gay, bisexual, and progressive men. DLP prides itself on providing an environment where men of all different backgrounds, experiences, and self-expressions can join together, experience the unique bonds of brotherhood, and flourish.

Delta Lambda Phi at Boston University

DLP has had a presence in Boston since 1999, known as the “Alpha Chi” Chapter. Originally founded as a city-wide chapter, the group reorganized as a Boston University fraternity in 2011. The BU chapter has done everything from volunteering with local domestic violence charities to hosting an annual drag ball. BU chapter alumni have gone on to work in many fields, including digital marketing, news production, law, the sciences, technology, city planning, and more.

The BU Chapter Today

After a brief hiatus, the BU chapter is rebooting! We are seeking motivated BU students to help create the next great wave of student leaders in Delta Lambda Phi. We are currently recruiting for the Fall 2017 class, and will be holding information sessions in September. If you are interested in learning more about DLP or the BU chapter, please get in touch with
