Houston Pride 2012

June 26, 2012

This past weekend the Brothers of Delta Lambda Phi – Beta Rho traveled to Montrose for an exciting and fun time at Houston Pride. For some Brothers, it was their first time being in Houston. For myself, being from the Greater Houston area, it was my first time experiencing this colorful side of Houston.

The Brothers were all thrilled and felt at home in this neighborhood filled with rainbow flags, kind people and a deep sense of community.

Our gracious hosts, Brothers Daniel Williams and Jason Brunelle, made us feel especially at home. Men in leather, women on bikes, stunning drag queens, people covered with rainbows, old and young, people of different colors had all descended upon Montrose from around the city and state to show their pride in themselves and one another.

This weekend was a wonderful time to show pride in who we are and a great opportunity to bond with Brothers.
