In total, the event brought in $4.88 Million, beating out last year’s total, and effectively reversing the declining trend in AIDS funding and fundraising across the country. This money will enable the GMHC and 40 other critically important local AIDS service organizations to continue their far-reaching prevention and advocacy work, as well as provide urgently needed food, access to medical care, counseling, linkages to safe housing, and other crucial direct services to thousands of people living with HIV/AIDS. It also strengthens GMHC’s vital work to demand a cure. Thank you for all the brothers and friends who came out with us to participate in the AIDS Walk!
