Beta Lambda Raises $16,000 for Charity
March 20, 2009
The National Fraternity would like to congratulate their brothers at Iowa State University on their recent accomplishment of raising $16,000 to charity. We are very proud of our brothers and their continued efforts to live according to our principle and to work tirelessly as progressive leaders.
For a full year, the brothers of Beta Lambda planned and put endless time, effort, and resources toward this philanthropy. On February 12, 2009, the year’s work came to a culmination with the hosting of the “Love Responsibly” silent and live auction to raise money for Mid Iowa Community Action’s Living with HIV program. The lambda men raised $16,000.00 dollars. Especially in these tough economic times, that is an extraordinary number.
We find that what these brothers have accomplished is a prime example of living our purposes, making our presence known, and donate to a cause that is near and dear to many of our hearts. We hope that this success will inspire continued efforts by brothers of the Beta Lambda Chapter, and across the country to work towards equality and progressive values in our society.
Thank you so much to the Beta Lambda’s for helping spread the great things this Fraternity stands for.
Any questions should be addressed to Alex Chapeaux.
