DLP Leads Penn State ‘It Gets Better’ Project

April 9, 2012

Brother Nick Doyle and the men of Delta Lambda Phi’s Alpha Rho Chapter are making their presence make a difference, bringing together at least 52 fraternities and sororities at Penn State to contribute to the ‘It Gets Better’ project.

Doyle said when his friend saw Delta Lambda Phi’s It Gets Better video from last year, he wanted to be a part of the movement. The idea, then, dawned on Doyle to create an It Gets Better video issued by all the greek organizations.

The IFC’s video will feature greek leaders from four councils and a few individuals speaking, while the members of numerous fraternities and sororities will be wearing their greek letters while holding up signs that spell “It Gets Better,” Doyle (sophomore-psychology and theater) said.

So far, there are 52 fraternities and sororities scheduled to be a part of the video. The council plans on making the main message a “visual impact that there are so many organizations standing behind all communities who are struggling in the face of bullying and discrimination,” Doyle said.
