Christopher Newman Receives Founder’s Award
August 17, 2012
Please join us in honoring Brother Christopher Newman, who was given the Vernon L. Strickland III Founder’s Award for his long-standing service to Delta Lambda Phi.
Christopher Newman, alumnus of the Omega Chapter at the University of Arizona, served as Founding President when the Omega Chapter was a colony and led the colony to its chapter status. He finished his final semester with the Omega Chapter as Pledgemaster in Fall 2006. Shortly after, Christopher Newman was appointed as National Public Relations Chairman in November 2006 and served in the position until September 2007. After spending a year away from the national scene, Br. Newman was hired as Director of Operations in August 2008 and continued to serve in that role until hired as Executive Director in August 2009. From then until July 2012, he led the building of the Fraternity Office as the Executive Director and ended his tenure at Convention 2012 in Portland, Oregon.
Br. Newman now serves as the Chief Development Officer and COO for the Delphi Foundation, while in the midst of studying law at the University of Denver.
