February 2013 Centaur All-Star: Brother Cory Fourqurean!

May 1, 2013

Congratulations to Brother Cory Fourqurean of the Beta Zeta Chapter and St. Louis Local Alumni Association of Delta Lambda Phi® for receiving the Centaur All-Star Award for February 2013!

Br. Fourqurean was nominated by fellow Beta Zeta Chapter and St. Louis Local Alumni Association member Dr. Morgan Morris, who had many kind words to contribute:

Cory Fourqurean was one of the longest active brothers in Beta Zeta history and I bet in the history of DLP (~7 out of his 9 years). His “love” of knowledge had given him the opportunity to stay active all those years. Cory is one of the most level headed brothers I have met in my seven years. He listens, understands and doesn’t judge. He is someone you can talk to when you need a friend. While he might be working at three different jobs, he still makes the time to be there. His non-aggressive attitude makes him a perfect mediator for debates or disagreements between brothers. His vast knowledge of the fraternity and history of our Chapter makes him a great asset for future generations of brothers.

Cory is a Beta Founder and has contributed to the SIUE colony since the beginning. I have spoken to the Alphas on many occasions and have heard all the time and effort he put into making the chapter a reality. Plus, he has been every position in the Chapter at least once. As a Chapter, he came back to help the Eta-Stricklands revive the Chapter from almost extinction. His knowledge and calm attitude kept the Chapter in check on countless occasions. Now that he settled into the role as an alumnus for a few years, he has stepped up and taken the role as President of the St. Louis Local Alumni Association. There are only a handful of brothers from our Chapter that have devoted the time, effort and service to our chapter as Cory has and we thank him for that!
