April 2013 Centaur All-Star: Brother Kyle Curtis!

May 30, 2013

Please join us in congratulating Brother Kyle Curtis of the Psi Chapter for receiving the Centaur All-Star Award for April 2013!

Br. Curtis was nominated by another previous Psi Chapter Centaur All-Star: Br. Kevin Kendrick. Brother Kendrick had this to share:

Kyle is an outstanding brother in every way possible. From the moment Kyle joined back in Fall of 2011 he demonstrated how a new brother can make a huge difference; he soon stepped in when other brothers couldn’t fulfill their positions and took over as Public Relations and Fundraising Chair. Kyle now serves as treasurer and has accomplished an incredible amount getting our Chapter its first official bank account, creating new documents to ensure paid dues, and so much more above and beyond his position. As if that were not enough he has attended almost every convention and conference since becoming a brother all the way from Seattle and constantly encourages his fellow brothers to do the same.Through Kyle’s hard work and dedication he has made himself an integral part of our chapter and I am proud to have him serve on our executive board and call him a brother.

Kyle, without exaggeration, is the most involved person in everything I have ever met. His days are booked from 7am-11pm just about every day and it makes sense why. He serves as President of College Republicans, is constantly involved in a variety of campus events, attends dinners with personal invites as prestigious as the Governor’s Ball, and as if that were not enough he is currently running for a the third top position in the school’s Associated Students of the University of Washington Elections. If people didn’t know Kyle before somehow they do now with his face on just about every door within a mile of campus. There is no doubt in my mind Kyle makes his presence known every day.

Kyle strives constantly to make a difference whenever he can. When our chapter glosses through something at a meeting Kyle is the brother to raise his hand and ask the critical questions that make all the difference. Questions such as “why do we do work with this organization when there is this other organization” or “why doesn’t our chapter get involved with Greek Week this year” and “Why do more brothers not feel the desire to attend conference” are all regularly asked in chapter and executive meetings. Inside and outside of the fraternity Kyle’s influence on our chapter within the past year is immeasurable.
