Rho Chapter Recognized For Community Service
January 23, 2014
Our Rho Chapter at California State University – Long Beach was recently recognized for their outstanding commitment to community service by The Center Long Beach.
- The Delta Lambda Phi Rho Chapter reached out to The Center LB in the spring of 2011. Since then, their achievements and willingness to step in and assist with the needs of the community and The Center LB has been a source of pride and inspiration to The Center.
- Their first community service event involved revamping the facilities from painting the lobby walls, organizing much needed areas of The Center for community access, assisting with cataloguing the library, cleaning the parking lot, trimming trees, deep cleaning bathrooms, and painted several counseling rooms. Those tasks were all performed within one day. Since then, they have helped at The Center on a number of difference occasions.
- In an emergency situation, members of this chapter responded with an hour warning bringing in 5 members to assist. Their dedication to community assistance and drive to get work done quickly exceeded The Center’s expectations.
Several individuals in the Rho Chapter were recognized for their efforts. The full letter of recognition and thanks sent by The Center Long Beach can be found on Confluence.
Way to make your presence make a difference, boys!
