Job Summary
The merchandising coordinator will utilize sales data, research, and trend analysis to execute plans for merchandise categories and product offerings that support strategic initiatives in collaboration with the merchandising director. The coordinator must be skilled at prioritizing multiple tasks while ensuring deliverables are made to a high standard and reinforce the fraternity’s mission, vision and values. The coordinator will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with other members of the Office of Marketing and Communications (MarComm) team and the fraternity as a whole.
Essential Job Functions
Working with the merchandising director, execute merchandising plans that support the fraternity’s strategic plans
Research trends to develop product offerings that will appeal to the various audiences within the fraternity
Develop product mockups, either themselves or in collaboration with the MarComm creative team
Perform A/B testing with past and potential customers to solicit feedback
Participate in the development of merchandise marketing plans
Required Qualifications
Ability to work effectively in a team environment in a remote, asynchronous setting
Preferred Qualifications
Experience developing merchandise for an online store
Experience working in a retail environment
Education in Apparel and Merchandising, Fashion Merchandising, Retail Management, or similar
Reports to
Merchandising Director
Supervises
Merchandising interns
Time Commitment
Less than 5 hours per week on average
