Name: Javier Calzadillas Chapter: Beta Tau Being accepted into the Delta Force Leadership Academy is important to me because: Sharing this growing experience with my brothers will help me be a more effective leader, both in Delta Lambda Phi and my community. When I found out I was accepted, my first thought was: So Thrilled!.. But it’s going to be cold! What I am most looking forward to is: Meeting and bonding with other brothers. |

Name: Duke Cooney Colony: Sacramento State Colony Being accepted into the Delta Force Leadership Academy is important to me because: My colony is in a position where we can either continue to grow and mature into a chapter, or, plateau. I want to be able to provide every resource possible to help myself and my chapter succeed. I feel that learning more about leadership and brotherhood from the best and brightest of DLP will be immensely beneficial. When I found out I was accepted, my first thought was: My fury thought after bring accepted was that I hope another one of my brothers gets selected along with me. It’s an experience I can already tell will be rewarding and I would love to share that with one of my fellow brothers. What I am most looking forward to is: Not using electronics. I feel that taking that element away will give myself and the other participants the opportunity to focus on each other and our own abilities without any distractions. |

Name: Jeff Devereaux Chapter: Beta Omicron Being accepted into the Delta Force Leadership Academy is important to me because: I want to hone my leadership skills and experiences I have gained thus far to further my chapter at Bowling Green State University. My organization has a rich history of making our presence known in Northwest Ohio and I want to draw from this experience at Delta Force to bring back to my chapter new ideas and experiences that will aid us to strive for what is just beyond our reach. When I found out I was accepted, my first thought was: I am extremely fortunate. I have fallen in love with this fraternity and all that it stands for: its values, the purposes, and the Lambda Way. I am honored, humbled, and fortunate to have this opportunity to be a part of this leadership event and gain the experiences that will come of it. What I am most looking forward to is: Meeting the brothers from other chapters that I have never met. We all come from different walks and paths that lead us to the journey that is Delta Lambda Phi and the Brotherhood. |

Name: Harsimar Dhanoa (below) Chapter: Gamma Being Accepted into the Delta Force Leadership Academy is important to me because: It’s up to each of the brothers to make the fraternity their own and Delta Force is one of the tools to help us do just that. When I found out I was accepted, my first thought was: How cold could Ohio really be? What I am most looking forward to is: Getting a chance to work with brothers from all around the country and seeing how each of us can help DLP grow. |

Name: Ian Duncanson Chapter: Chi Being accepted into the Delta Force Leadership Academy is important to me because: I have so much to learn from brothers across the continent, and Delta Force is the perfect place to do so. I look forward to getting close to more of my brothers while building my leadership skills. I’m excited to continue the lifelong journey of being the best Lambda Man that I can be. When I found out I was accepted, my first thought was: to be humbled that the fraternity has chosen me to further the purposes of Delta Lambda Phi. I was also honored to receive a call from Ernie Hall himself! It was definitely a combination of surprise, excitement, and joy. I truly felt the love of all my brothers. What I am most looking forward to is: Unplugging from the world outside of my brothers for a weekend. I’m really excited to focus on brotherhood bonding and to leave everything else behind for a few days. |

Name: Brendan Edge Chapter: Beta Omega Being accepted into the Delta Force Leadership Academy is important to me because: it will give me a chance to cultivate any leadership skills I have so that I can help cultivate my chapter, the world, and future leaders within the fraternity and without. It gives me a chance to travel and meet many new young men and form lasting friendships with brothers from far and wide, and the benefits that come with. When I found out I was accepted, my first thought was: “Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god!” I was so very excited. I felt the same way when I got my Bid from DLP or when I got a job I worked really hard for…People felt that I was worthy of something important, and for people to think that about me-for me to have achieved that had me walking on sunshine! What I am most looking forward to is: Getting to know the other members of my class, and hopefully getting really close to them! |

Name: Shaka Farr Chapter: Delta Being accepted into the Delta Force Leadership Academy is important to me because: I’m eager to bring more back from the leadership academy than what I brought with me. I’m already proud to call Delta Chapter my home, and I cannot wait to bring back a better Brother to take my Chapter further than we’ve been before. When I found out I was accepted, my first thought was: YAAAAAAAAASS What I am most looking forward to is: Learning, not only from the counselors and leaders facilitating, but also from my fellow Brothers within my class. We have so much to learn from one another, and I cannot wait to bring our combined talents together to make something beautiful. |

Name: Juan Gonzalez Chapter: Rho Being accepted into the Delta Force Leadership Academy is important to me because: It will give me an opportunity to meet brothers from all over the country and canada of course! It will also allow me to further develop my leadership skills with like minded people, while having a great time. When I found out I was accepted, my first thought was: OMG I’m so excited! But then I remembered how much I hate flying. What I am most looking forward to is: Having a great time and developing new and old skills! Also, getting to know my amazing brothers. |

Name: Robert Goopio Chapter: Beta Sigma Being accepted into the Delta Force Leadership Academy is important to me because: Being accepted into the Delta Force Leadership Academy means I get to represent what being a part of the Beta Sigma chapter means and being able to come back home and pay forward what my brothers have given to me by helping them be their own leaders. When I found out I was accepted, my first thought was: My grand-big Lenny Haas would be so proud!!!! Soon thereafter, my second-first-thought was how incredibly grateful I was to DLP for giving me even more opportunities to help me grow as a better leader and a better brother. What I am most looking forward to is: Getting the chance to spend a weekend with brothers from all over and learning not only how to be leaders for tomorrow but also how to be brothers to each other on a far-reaching level. |

When I found out I was accepted, my first thought was: Disbelief and amazement. I had hoped that I would get accepted, but was not prepared to be. What I am most looking forward to is: Seeing brothers I know, meeting new ones, and experiencing personal growth. |

Name: Travis Lunsford Chapter: Chi Being accepted into the Delta Force Leadership Academy is important to me because: I want to leave an impact on the world, for the better. I feel that Delta Force will help me develop the skills necessary to better help advocate for change and to meet the purposes of Delta Lambda Phi. When I found out I was accepted, my first thought was: I am so excited! I had heard from Brothers who had gone to DF in the past how life changing DF is and how much of an impact the experience had on them. I cannot wait to experience it for myself! What I am most looking forward to is: Further building bonds of Brotherhood with Brothers from all over the Fraternity, as well as further developing my skills as a leader and advocate for social justice for all. |

I want to make sure that I can be the best person I can be for my fellow Brothers. Delta Force can give me the chance to learn important skills that will help my Chapter succeed in the future. When I found out I was accepted, my first thought was: When and what do I pack? What I am most looking forward to is: Meeting Brothers from across the country. I loved going to Convention this past summer and meeting all of the Brothers. I think that this will give me an opportunity to brainstorm on rush event ideas and social activities to help promote our Chapter. |

Name: Blake Miller Chapter: Beta Lambda Being accepted into the Delta Force Leadership Academy is important to me because: Not only do I get to represent my chapter at a weekend full of brotherly interaction, but i get to work intentionally to cultivate my budding potential as a leader in this fraternity, a brotherhood which is near and dear to my heart. When I found out I was accepted, my first thought was: “YESSSSSSS!!!!!!! I am gushing. Ever since I heard about Delta Force, I’ve dreamed of the chance to attend! This is my time, a time to begin a life of service to my brothers. I need to call Phil! What I am most looking forward to is: I am most looking forward to the opportunity to bond with a lovely group of men who have the same goal as I do: to serve all Lambda Men by learning how to lead and work within the fraternity structure. |

Name: James Pohlmann Chapter: Beta Nu Being accepted into the Delta Force Leadership Academy is important to me because: My chapter is experiencing unprecedented growth; our membership is up, our Executive board is becoming more well-defined and cohesive, and we’re playing a more active role on campus than I’ve ever seen before. It is important to me, because with new growth comes new challenges. I hope to learn how to become a better leader and, in turn, share what I’ve gained with my fellow brothers. When I found out I was accepted, my first thought was: Ooo, guuurl! I get to ride on an airplane! What I am most looking forward to is: Seeing brothers I haven’t seen in a while and meeting some new ones! Also, I’m really looking forward to the high-ropes course 😀 |

Name: Lee Tran Chapter: Delta Being accepted into the Delta Force Leadership Academy is important to me because: I want to make a difference, not only with the fraternity, but especially with my chapter. I’m hoping that the things I’ll learn and/or discover about myself, and what needs to be done to be a good leader, will allow me to come back to my chapter as a better leader. When I found out I was accepted, my first thought was: OMG! Yay! What I am most looking forward to is: being able to meet with other brothers who have also been accepted into Delta Force and growing a bond with them. I look forward/hope that after this weekend, my love for the fraternity will be rejuvenated and allow me to come back with the strength to lead my chapter into a positive future. |
